J’ai un Ericson 35, qui avait auparavant une hélice à 2 pales de 14 pouces qui fonctionnait mal en marche arrière et en mer forte. J’ai acheté une hélice EWOL 15 pouces l’année dernière et je l’ai installée au printemps dernier. Initialement, l’angle était réglé trop haut, mais après quelques ajustements dans l’eau, l’hélice a fonctionné au-delà des attentes. La vitesse de navigation a augmenté et la performance inverse existe désormais. Croisière cet été à travers Woods Hole contre 5 nœuds de courant, l’hélice a prouvé sa valeur. Le plus grand facteur qui m’a convaincu sur l’EWOL était la facilité de réglage de l’angle, quelque chose qui est difficile à deviner la première fois. Je recommanderais fortement l’hélice EWOL.

I have an Ericson 35, that previously had a had a 2 bladed 14 inch prop that performed poorly in reverse and in heavy seas. I purchased an EWOL 15 inch prop this past year and installed it this past Spring. Initially the pitch was set too high, but after a couple of in water prop adjustments, the prop has been performing beyond expectations. Sailing speed has increased and reverse performance now exists. Cruising this summer through Woods Hole against 5 knots of current the prop proved it’s worth. The biggest factor that sold me on the EWOL was the ease of pitch adjustment, something that is hard to guess right the first time. I would highly recommend the EWOL feathering prop.
